2011 Dutton-Goldfield Dutton Ranch Pinot Noir 750 mL – price n/a
- 90 points, Wine & Spirits
The 2011 vintage year started with a cool, wet winter and spring, so poor set weather greatly limited our Pinot Noir crop. The short crop was good fortune, as small yields was what it would take to get perfect ripening through the foggy 2011 summer. In the end we harvested fruit with great aromatic character, fine phenolic ripeness, and the bright acid/sugar balance that we love in our neighborhood.
2010 Canoe Ridge Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon 750 mL – price n/a
- 92 points, Wine & Spirits
The 2010 growing season was on schedule with bud break in early April, but a cool, wet spring led to delayed owering and reduced fruit set across many varieties. An unusually cool summer produced dramatic differences in ripening between our warmer and cooler sites, with veraison extending well into September in some cooler areas. However, modest yields, combined with over a month of consistently warm weather from late September through late October, produced phenolic ripeness and avor development with extraordinary natural acidity. Cool, wet weather returned in late October, but the harvest team proved nimble. Overall, balanced and elegant wines showed just slightly lower alcohol and higher acidity than average harvests.

2010 Dry Creek Vineyard Heritage Zinfandel, Sonoma County 750 mL – price n/a
The 2010 vintage may go down as one of the more difficult, challenging vintages of the last decade. With varied growing conditions, it was incredibly important to stay on top of the vineyard ensuring that the canopy was well managed. Late spring rains, a cool summer and then several heat spikes before and during harvest added to the challenge. However, our winemaking and vineyard team really came through, keeping a cool head and bringing in fruit that achieved full ripeness, flavor and balance.
